Mom'S Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. green peppers, chopped (or red peppers for color)
    1 c. chopped onions
    2 c. chopped celery
    1 qt. drained sauerkraut
    drained chopped pimentos for color (optional)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Mix all but the last 2 ingredients.
    Bring sugar and vinegar to a boil and pour over mixture.
    Stir.
    Let cool to refrigerate; refrigerate at least 24 hours before serving it.
    The salad will keep for weeks in the refrigerator.
