Ingredients

1/4 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 rounded Tbsp. whole cloves
1 jar beets
1 large onion, slivered
Preparation

Bring to a boil sugar, vinegar, water and cloves.
Drain jar of beets and put in a bowl with onions.
Pour vinegar mixture over beets.
Cover and refrigerate at least overnight.
