Lemon Refrigerator Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. lemon extract
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    pecan halves (optional)
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar and then eggs and extract.
    Sift dry ingredients and add a little at a time to creamed mixture. Form into long rolls.
    Place in refrigerator until firm.
    Slice; press pecan half in middle.
    Cook at 375\u00b0 on an ungreased cookie sheet for about 10 minutes.
