Aunt Minnie'S Date-Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 well beaten egg
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Put the first 4 ingredients in mixing bowl. Add the boiling water and set aside until cold.
Add the egg.
Measure the flour and sift with the soda and cream of tartar.
Add to mixture.
Last add the nuts and vanilla.
Fill pans half full and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
