Canned Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Beets
    Sugar
    Apple Cider vinegar
    Pickling spices
Preparation
    Boil whole beats with 1 inch top stem and all of the root for about 45 minutes, or longer according to the amount of beets in the container.
    Drain off hot water and add cold water.
    Slip off the skins and slice or quarter the beets, however desired.
    Add equal amounts of vinegar, sugar & water.
    Put all of this over your beets and add 3 Tbsp. pickling spices that has been tied in a cloth into the solution.
    Bring to boil and boil slowly for about 15-20 minutes.
    Fill sterilized jars with beets, then fill jars with beet juice.
    Be sure it is over top of the beets.
    Cover with lids that have been sterilized and seal jars.
