French Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. beer (active or flat, cold or at room temperature)
    3 very large onions
    1 qt. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine flour and beer in a large bowl and blend thoroughly using a rotary beater.
    Cover; allow batter to stand at room temperature for at least 3 hours.
