Gooseberry Salad(A Tart Companion For Pork) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 lb. 1 oz.) cans gooseberries
    1 c. sugar
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. lime jello
    1 c. crushed bananas
    cold water
Preparation
    Drain gooseberries, saving juice.
    Mix sugar and berries; place over low heat just to melt sugar.
    Add enough cold water to the gooseberry juice to make 2 cups.
    Bring to a boil and pour over gelatin.
    Stir until jello is dissolved.
    Add 1 1/2 cups cold water.
    Let set for a while and then add the banana and gooseberries.
