Snowball Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. flour
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    2 beaten egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat whites to soft peaks, adding 1/2 cup sugar gradually. Continue beating until stiff.
    Combine milk, water and 6 tablespoons sugar in large shallow pan.
    Bring to simmer, stirring often.
    With 2 spoons form snowballs of meringue.
    Add to milk mixture.
    Poach 2 minutes.
    Turn; poach 1 more minute.
    Remove with slotted spoon; drain.
    Add 1/4 cup hot milk mixture to flour; blend well.
    Add another 1/4 cup; stir.
    Add to yolks.
    Stir this into remaining milk mixture.
    Cook until thick.
    Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
    Let cool.
    Float snowballs on top of custard. Serves 6.
