Almond Pine Cones The Nutsnacker - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. whole almonds
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    5 slices crisp bacon
    1 Tbsp. chopped green onion
    1/2 tsp. dill weed
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Spread almonds in a single layer in shallow pan. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 15 minutes, stirring often, until they begin to turn color. Combine cream cheese and mayonnaise.
    Mix well. Add crumbled bacon, onion, dill and pepper.
    Mix well. Cover and chill overnight. Form cheese mixture into pine cone shapes. Beginning at narrow end, press almond at slight angle into cheese mixture in rows.
    Garnish with artificial pine sprigs.
    Serve with crackers.
    Makes 1 1/2 cups.
