"Riz" Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. warm buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar or more if desired
    1/2 c. Crisco
Preparation
    Mix yeast with warm buttermilk.
    Add soda.
    Cut the Crisco into the dry ingredients.
    Slowly mix liquid mixture into the dry ingredients.
    Roll out on a board and cut into biscuits. Let stand long enough to rise.
    Then bake about 12 minutes in 425\u00b0 oven. Makes 24.
