Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. molasses
1 egg, well beaten
2 tsp. soda
1 c. boiling water
1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. powdered cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
2 Tbsp. oleo
1/8 tsp. butter flavoring
bread crumbs
1 (9-inch) pie crust
Preparation

Dissolve soda in boiling water.
Mix all ingredients with the exception of crumbs.
Make alternate layers of crumbs and mixture. Bake in a hot 450\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325\u00b0 or 350\u00b0 and bake about 20 minutes.
