Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. corn meal
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    5 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 egg
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
    Add egg, milk and shortening. Beat thoroughly.
    Grease pan, 8 or 9-inch square.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
