Ingredients

1 lb. dried beans (kidney, red, pinto, black or a combination)
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped carrots
1 c. chopped onions
3 cans tomato sauce (8 oz.)
1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz.)
1 can chicken broth
4 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. red pepper
1 tsp. garlic salt
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Soak beans overnight.
Drain.
Cover with water and simmer for 2 hours, checking the fluid level periodically.
Cook ground beef. Add beef and spices.
Continue to cook for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
