Vanilla Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan.
    Combine milk and eggs, stir well.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until pudding mixture comes to a boil. Remove pudding mixture from heat.
    Stir in butter and vanilla. Pour mixture into (4) 6 oz. custard cups.
    Cover with plastic wrap gently pressing into pudding.
    Chill at least 45 minutes.
