Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
3 c. boiling water
butter (size of egg)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. flour
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. dates, cut fine
Preparation

Put first three ingredients in pan you are going to bake your pudding in.
Bring to boiling point and boil ten minutes. Combine the rest of the ingredients.
Drop in spoonfuls into syrup if thick and bake in a hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream.
Makes about 12 servings.
