Hot-Sour Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. chicken stock or broth
    4 dried Chinese mushrooms
    8 tiger lily buds
    1/4 c. bamboo shoots, cut into 1/4-inch strips
    1/4 lb. pork, cut into 1 x 1/4-inch strips
    1 (8 oz.) cake fresh, firm tofu, well drained and cut into 1/4-inch strips
    2 Tbsp. chopped scallions (with tops)
    1 tsp. sesame oil
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Soak mushrooms and lily buds in hot water for 30 minutes. Drain; cut off and discard tough stems.
    Cut mushrooms into thin strips.
    Cut lily buds in halves.
