Waldorf Astoria Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 oz. red cake coloring
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. soda

Preparation

Cream
sugar
and shortening.
Add eggs and food coloring; beat well.
Sift flour, salt and cocoa together 3 times; add alternately with buttermilk and mix well.
Combine vinegar and soda.
Bake in 2 layers at 350\u00b0.
