Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2/3 c. butter
    1 c. dark brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 slightly beaten eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
Preparation
    Put dry ingredients in bowl with nuts.
    Mix well. Melt butter in pan.
    Remove from heat and add sugar.
    When cool, add eggs and vanilla.
    Add flour mixture a bit at a time.
    Add half chocolate chips to mixture and place in 9 x 12 x 2-inch pan.
    Sprinkle remaining chocolate bits on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Cool in pan.
    Cut in squares.
