German Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. potatoes
    soup greens
    1 bay leaf
    1 small onion, quartered
    2 bouillon cubes
    bacon
    1 diced onion
Preparation
    Peel, quarter and slice potatoes. Combine with water and all seasonings. Cook for 30 to 40 minutes. Dice bacon; fry. Add diced onion and fry until brown. Put in with potatoes. Add wieners or smoked sausage until heated. Eat with soup.
