Bavarian Pot Roast(Or Goulash) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. chuck
    5 Tbsp. fat or oil
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. ginger
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 to 3 Tbsp. vinegar
    12 oz. beer
    1 c. tomato sauce
    2 large onions, chopped
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    1 large bay leaf
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Cut meat in serving pieces or leave whole.
    Brown in hot fat/oil.
    When the meat is browned on all sides, add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook slowly for 2 to 3 hours.
    Serve over medium noodles.
    Makes approximately 4 servings.
