Kitchen Bread (Germany) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. sour milk *
    1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Mix 1 cup flour, brown sugar and butter.
    Reserve 1/2 cup of mixture.
    Add egg, sour milk and vanilla to flour mixture.
    Sift remaining flour, soda and baking powder together.
    Add to butter and milk mixture.
    Blend.
    Pour into buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Add cinnamon and nuts to reserved mixture.
    Sprinkle over batter. Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
