Whole Wheat Caramel Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. margarine, melted
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Grease 9-inch square pan.
    Lightly spoon flour into a measuring cup; level off.
    In large bowl combine 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, sugar, salt and yeast; blend well.
    In small saucepan, heat milk, water and shortening until very warm (120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0).
    Add warm liquids to flour mixture.
    Stir by hand until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Stir in an additional 1/4 to 3/4 cup flour until dough is smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
    Place in greased bowl; cover loosely with plastic wrap and towel.
    Let rise until doubled in size, about 1 1/4 hours.
    Yields 16 rolls; serving size, 1 roll.
