Sweet And Sour Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lbs. chicken, cubed
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tsp. browning sauce
    1 can 8 3/4 oz. pineapple chunks, reserve liquid
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. cider vinegar
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 can (8 oz.) sliced water chestnuts, sliced and drained
Preparation
    In 2 quart casserole dish place chicken, onion, soy sauce, browning sauce, and reserved pineapple juice.
    Stir well and microwave covered 20-25 minutes.
    Stir every 15 minutes.
    Mix together all the remaining ingredients and add to meat mixture. Microwave another 8 minute covered.
    Stir in 1 medium green pepper cut up.
    Microwave 8 more minutes stirring until thickened and clear.
    Fold in 1 medium tomato cut into chunks and let stand covered for 10 minutes before serving.
    Serve with rice. This recipe can be made on the stove top but eliminate browning sauce.
