Grandma Nancy'S Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. small white beans (dry)
    5 c. water
    6 oz. bacon
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. onion, finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    3 Tbsp. maple syrup or molasses
    2 tsp. Dijon mustard
    1 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    3 bay leaves
    1/2 tsp. ginger, fresh grated
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Wash beans.
    Place all ingredients into a crock-pot.
    Mix well.
    Cook on low overnight for about 16 hours.
