Caraway Onion Quick Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/3 c. minced onion
    1 c. wheat bran cereal
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. unbleached white flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Melt margarine in saucepan.
    Add onion and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender.
    Remove from heat and stir in cereal and buttermilk.
    Let stand for 2 minutes or until the cereal softens and most of the liquid is soaked up. Beat in the egg.
