Bernice'S Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp. flour
juice of 1 lemon
lemon flavoring if desired
Preparation

Mix sugar and flour, then add enough of the water to make a thick paste.
Add egg and mix well.
Add the rest of the water and the juice.
Cook over medium or low heat until thick, stirring almost constantly.
Pour over bananas that are sliced into serving pieces.
(I use 2 level tablespoons flour; it cooks quicker.
Also, I add 1/2 teaspoon lemon flavoring or more.)
Serve with sliced bananas.
Do not cut bananas until ready to serve.
Sauce can be kept in refrigerator for a long time.
