Grandma'S Baluchski - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 medium head cabbage
    1 large sweet onion
    1 lb. sauerkraut
    4 oz. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 lb. bow tie noodles
Preparation
    Coarsely slice cabbage and onion.
    Saute in butter until transparent.
    (Can be steamed to reduce fat.)
    Add sauerkraut and stir.
    Cook bow ties in boiling water until just done.
    Drain and mix with all other ingredients.
    Can be served as a casserole or reheated in butter as a leftover.
    Great with roast pork or sausage.
