Caramel Popcorn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 qt. popcorn
    1 c. nuts
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Spread popcorn and nuts in large shallow pan.
    Place in preheated oven at 250\u00b0 to keep warm.
    Combine butter, brown sugar, syrup and salt in saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolved.
    Wash sugar from sides of pan.
    Boil until mixture reaches 248\u00b0 (firm ball stage).
    Cook 5 minutes at that degree. Remove from heat and stir in soda.
    Pour mixture over corn.
    Stir to coat.
    Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
    When cool, store in tight container.
