Ingredients
- 
                            beets, cooked until tender
 
1 tsp. pickling spice
5 c. water
2 c. vinegar
3 c. sugar
Preparation
- 
                            Mix together the last 3 ingredients.
 
When beets are tender, pack into hot jars.
Cover with the mixture.
Put 1 teaspoon pickling spice into each jar.
Cool jar lids, then seal.
If more liquid is needed, mix another mixture.
