Nancy'S French Toast(Breakfast Dish) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    2 c. half and half or light cream
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    dash of nutmeg
    18 (1-inch thick) bread slices (Texas-style bread)
    butter or margarine
    warm maple syrup
Preparation
    Grease a heavy griddle or pan. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, cream, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and nutmeg together. Dip bread into egg mixture, coating both sides. Cook bread on griddle over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Serve warm with butter or margarine and warm syrup.
