Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. minced garlic or more to suit
    1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken, cut in 1-inch strips
    1 yellow pepper, cored and diced
    1/4 lb. ham, cut in 1/4-inch strips
    3 c. Italian or Mexican tomato sauce
    2 c. cooked long grain rice
    1/4 c. minced green onions (tops and all)
Preparation
    Melt margarine over medium heat.
    Add onion, garlic and pepper. Cook to transparent (3 or 4 minutes).
    Add chicken, tomato sauce and ham.
    Bring to boil, then simmer 5 minutes, stirring often.
