Cinnamon Skillet Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter
    1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. red hots (optional)
    4 to 5 cored, unpeeled apples, halved
Preparation
    Mix sugar and cornstarch; add rest of ingredients and cook over medium heat.
    Spoon sauce over apples.
    Cook 20 minutes or until tender.
