Carrot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. cooked carrots, mashed
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. raisins
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Add vanilla and egg. Beat until fluffy.
    Add carrots (cool).
    Mix flour, salt and baking powder together and sift.
    Add to creamy mixture.
    Add raisins.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet, 2 to 3-inches apart.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
