Jewish Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    3/4 c. raisins
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. oil
    3 eggs, beaten
    3 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour, sifted
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Mix raisins and water in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Turn off gas.
    Add baking soda and set aside.
    Mix together sugar, oil, eggs, vanilla, flour and nuts.
    Add water, raisins and baking soda mixture.
