Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. Kraft caramels
    2/3 c. canned milk
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. oleo or butter flavored Crisco
    6 oz. chocolate bits
    nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Combine caramels and 1/3 cup canned milk and melt.
    Mix cake mix, 1/3 cup milk and butter.
    Put half cake mix into cake pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
    Remove from oven; add chocolate chips and cover with melted caramel.
    Add remaining cake mix and bake 15 to 18 minutes.
