Carrot Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. grated carrots
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/3 c. water
    1 c. raisins
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Place carrots, sugar, water, raisins, butter and spices in a pan.
    Bring
    to
    a\tboil and simmer for 5 minutes.\tCool. Sift flour, baking
    powder,
    soda
    and salt together.
    Add the dry ingredients and
    nuts
    to
    the carrot mixture.
    Stir until blended.
    Pour
    into
    well-greased
    and
    floured\tring
    mold (9-inch).
    Bake at 350\u00b0
    for 50 minutes.
    To fill a Bundt pan, double the recipe.\tFrost with Butter Cream Frosting.
