English Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. white cake mix, bake as directed on pkg. in 2 layers
    1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding, prepared as directed on pkg.
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 large can apricot nectar or 2 small cans
    1/2 c. sherry
    Cool Whip
    nuts
Preparation
    Place 1 layer
    of
    cake,
    broken up, in bottom of large glass bowl (punch
    bowl works well).
    Pour 1/4 cup sherry over cake. Spread 1/2\tof
    pudding
    over cake.
    Spread with 1/2 of cherry pie filling.
    Pour
    1/2
    can
    apricot
    nectar over all. Spread a layer of
    Cool
    Whip
    over all.\tSprinkle with nuts. Repeat layering in the same order with the remaining ingredients, except Cool Whip and nuts.
    Refrigerate for 24 hours.
