Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. grated cabbage
    4 c. grated cucumbers
    4 c. grated bell pepper
    4 c. grated green tomatoes
    4 c. grated onion
    2 c. hot banana peppers
    2 c. hot pepper
    1/4 c. salt
    6 c. sugar
    6 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. celery
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Grind vegetables.
    Sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight, covered, in refrigerator.
    Next day drain vegetables well.
