Butter Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
Preparation
    Cream shortening into dry ingredients.
    Add buttermilk to consistency of biscuit dough.
    Roll dough (1/2 recipe at a time); spread with butter.
    Sprinkle each circle with 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon as desired.
    Roll as for jelly roll and cut in 1-inch slices.
    Place in greased pan and bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
