New England Clam Chowder(4 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 or 3 cans minced clams
3 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. diced salt pork
unsalted saltines (handful)
1 bottle clam juice
2 small potatoes, diced
1 bay leaf
2 to 3 c. milk
1/8 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

Saute onion in salt pork until onions are clear. Crush crackers and stir into onion mixture.
Stir in clam juice, potato, bay leaf and black pepper.
Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
Add milk and clams. Heat to under simmering point.
Do not simmer because it will toughen the clams.
