Black-Eyed Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dry black-eyed peas
1/2 lb. salt pork
1- 10 oz. pkg. frozen okra
2- 14 oz. cans sliced stewed tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1 c. chopped bell pepper
1 c. chopped celery
2 jalapenos, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
l/4 c. vegetable oil
Preparation

Soak peas overnight.
Cover with water and boil with salt pork for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
