Three Week Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. green cabbage
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    2 medium onions
    1 green pepper
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. oil
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 heaping tsp. salt
Preparation
    Grate cabbage, onions and pepper into a large bowl.
    Mix sugar and 2 cups vinegar and pour over the vegetables.
    Combine 1 cup vinegar, oil, celery seed and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
    Pour over the first mixture.
    Cover and refrigerate three weeks before serving.
