Beef Stew Ragout Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef stew meat, cut into cubes
    1 Tbsp. wesson oil
    1/2 cup onion (chopped)
    2 cloves garlic (crushed)
    1 cup water
    1 6oz. can hunt's no salt added tomato paste
    1 1/2 cups carrots (sliced)
    1 16oz. can small onions (drained)
    2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. light brown sugar
    2 tsp. Italian herb seasoning
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan, brown beef in oil.
    Add onion, garlic, saute until onion is soft.
    Add water and tomato paste.
    Stir until blended.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover, simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender.
