Dixie'S Pecan Log - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. oleo, softened
1/3 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 lb. caramels
2 Tbsp. cream
chopped pecans
Preparation

Mix the first 4 ingredients, then mix in sugar gradually. Knead with hands as mixture becomes stiff.
Knead until smooth. Divide into two 10-inch logs.
Cover with a damp cloth and chill several hours or overnight.
