Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. finely crumbled Ritz cracker crumbs
    1/2 stick butter, melted
    2 c. yellow onion, thinly sliced (Vidalias are best)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. sharp Cheddar
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Mix crumbs with melted butter and press into an 8-inch pie plate.
    Saute onions in 2 tablespoons butter until just clear. Spread into crust.
    Beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper and pour over onions.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
