Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. chicken broth
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
3 c. wedged onions, parboiled
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. bread crumbs (seasoned)
1/2 c. grated cheese
Preparation

Melt butter; stir in flour, then broth and milk.
Stir constantly until sauce begins to thicken and is smooth.
Add drained onions, almonds and seasonings.
Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
Cover with bread crumbs and cheese. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Serves 6.
