Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine (corn oil stick)
1 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
3 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. sour cream
Preparation

Mix shortening and sugar together until creamy and fluffy.
Add egg and then add dry ingredients, sifted together, alternately with sour cream.
Roll 1/4 inch thick.
Cut out and put on lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 12 minutes in center of a 400\u00b0 oven until lightly brown.
Makes approximately 3 dozen cookies.
