Joline'S Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs
    1 pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Melt together shortening and brown sugar in large pan.
    Stir in flour, salt, baking powder.
    Stir until well blended.
    In a medium bowl, mix eggs, chocolate chips and nuts.
    Place first mixture (sugar, etc.) in a greased 15 x 10-inch pan.
    Lay second mixture (nuts, etc.) on top.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
