Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. yellow squash
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green bell pepper
    1 egg
    1/2 c. grated cheese for casserole
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 stick butter
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    1/2 c. grated cheese for top
Preparation
    Boil squash until tender; drain, add butter and mash.
    Mix together sugar, egg, mayonnaise, pepper, onion, salt and cheese; add to squash.
    Pour into buttered casserole and top with bread crumbs and cheese.
    Dot with butter and bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
