Ingredients

1 can sliced beets
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Mix salt, sugar, cornstarch, water and vinegar.
Boil 5 minutes.
Pour over beets.
Let stand 1/2 hour.
Add butter and reheat.
